UKNode (AS215262) is a fully autonomous, independently operated network built on enterprise-grade Juniper and Cisco infrastructure. We don't do garage setups — every device, link, and path is engineered to carrier standards.
Dual upstream transit with both Lunar Digital and Rocket Fibre — each with a primary and backup link, giving us four independent upstream paths. Both providers connect directly into Tier 1 carriers including Cogent, NTT, GTT, TATA, Hurricane Electric, Lumen, Arelion, ZAYO, RETN, and NetIX. When one path has a problem, traffic shifts automatically. Your services stay up.
Every server is dual-homed at 10G with LACP bonding for link-level redundancy. Our internal backbone runs at 100G. Routers, switches, and firewalls are all deployed in redundant pairs — if any single device fails, the infrastructure is intact.
Strict RPKI and IRR filtering across all peering and transit sessions. No bogons. No spoofed sources. A clean, verifiable routing table. Traffic engineering via local preference, AS-path prepending, and selective prefix advertisement gives us precise control over how traffic enters and exits. Sub-1ms latency to Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 DNS is what that looks like in practice.
Our UK NOC is staffed exclusively by the senior engineers who designed and built the infrastructure — with decades of hands-on experience across carrier networks, routing and enterprise infrastructure.
Lunar Digital + Rocket Fibre, primary + backup - each.
LACP-bonded servers, redundant routers / switches / firewalls.
Clean, verifiable routes. No bogons, no spoofed sources.
Real engineers on shift — the people who built it.
UKNode's network infrastructure includes inline DDoS mitigation at the network edge — automatically detecting and neutralising attacks in real time, with no manual activation, no rerouting, and zero performance impact on legitimate traffic.
Protection is active by default across all UKNode services. There's nothing to configure and nothing to enable. When an attack starts, mitigation is already running.
Attacks are identified at the packet level in under 2 seconds and actively mitigated within milliseconds — before they reach your infrastructure.
Malicious traffic is filtered at the network edge, not rerouted to a remote scrubbing centre. Clean traffic flows at full speed, with no added latency and no disruption to your services.
Volumetric floods, protocol attacks, application-layer exploits, DNS amplification — all handled automatically. Detection adapts dynamically to changing traffic patterns, including zero-day attack vectors.
Trusted by enterprises and service providers worldwide for sub-millisecond, packet-level detection with line-rate inspection. Actively mitigates volumetric, protocol, application-layer, and DNS attacks in real time.
UKNode (AS215262) peers at LINX Manchester, LINX LON1, and LINX LON2 — the UK's most significant Internet Exchange. Direct interconnect at LINX Manchester means traffic to major UK and global networks takes the shortest possible path, bypassing unnecessary transit hops.
Active peering sessions with Apple, Microsoft, Cloudflare, BBC, Cisco, Akamai, Nominet, Zen Internet, and many more. More peers means more direct paths, shorter routes, and greater independence from upstream providers.
We say yes by default. Find us on PeeringDB as AS215262. BGP sessions are RPKI- and IRR-filtered; we expect the same in return. Our NOC will help validate latency and routing before turn-up.
On-net at the LINX Manchester fabric for sub-2ms UK latency.*
Present on the LON1 fabric for shortest paths to London-side networks.
Present on LON2 for redundant London-side reachability.
* Tested ping to 1.1.1.1 DNS.
Every UKNode service is housed at Lunar Digital's Tier III certified Manchester campus (Lunar Digital) — the North West's largest independent data centre operator and one of the most connected facilities in the UK. Formerly the Equinix MA2 facility, it's carrier-rich, LINX-peered, and built for critical infrastructure.
Diverse incoming feeds, UPS systems, and diesel generator backup rated for extended outages. Concurrently maintainable — maintenance never means downtime.
N+1 DX CRAC and in-row cooling systems throughout, designed for continuous operation without thermal risk.
24/7 on-site monitoring, biometric and card access control, multiple physical perimeters. The facility is managed in-house by Lunar Digital's own engineering team.
Lunar Digital is one of Manchester's primary LINX-connected campuses. UKNode's transit and peering sessions run natively within the same interconnected infrastructure, minimising physical path length and maximising reliability.
No cross-border routing. No foreign jurisdiction. Manchester-based, UK-operated infrastructure throughout.
